Tipperary Parent Hub webinar Preventing Drug and Alcohol problems in Teenagers - What Can Parents Do, with Professor Bobby Smyth MRCPsych PhD

The Tipperary Parent Hub is hosting a free online webinar for parents titled “Preventing Drug & Alcohol Problems in Teenagers – What Parents Can Do.” The session will take place on 30th April from 11am to 12pm and will be delivered by Prof. Bobby Smyth (MRCPsych, PhD), a clinical lead in adolescent addiction services and a Clinical Professor at Trinity College Dublin.

The webinar will cover:

• Typical adolescent development
• How drug and alcohol use can influence this stage
• Risks linked with adolescent substance use
• Practical steps parents can take to support healthy development
• Parenting strategies that help reduce the likelihood of drug or alcohol problems, including cannabis
