A major public artwork, commissioned by Tipperary County Council, in partnership with Tipperary GAA and FBD Semple Stadium, celebrating the legacy of Gaelic games was unveiled today at FBD Semple Stadium in Thurles, Co. Tipperary. The bronze statue, entitled ‘Ár gCluichí Féin’ (Our Own Games), by artist Aidan Harte, was created to recognise the cultural importance of Gaelic games and to commemorate Tipperary as the birthplace of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA).

Clonmel Borough District is inviting expressions of interest from individuals, community
groups, cultural organisations, performers, and other suitable applicants seeking to
utilise designated public performance spaces at Abbey Street Car Park Performance
Space and the Kickham Plaza in Clonmel.

Each year in the month of May, Bealtaine is presented as a nationwide festival celebrating the arts and creativity as we age. The festival is an initiative of Age & Opportunity, the national organisation that promotes active and engaged living as we get older.

Artist Tom Meskell brings his touring installation Basking to the At 6s & 7s Gallery in Tipperary Town this November/December with Basking - The Nursery, an immersive light installation celebrating the gentle mystery of the basking shark.

Tipperary Museum is pleased to launch its annual lecture programme Beyond Belief. The focus of this year’s series will be the beliefs, customs and traditions practiced by our ancestors. These rituals or more simply put the everyday ways of life may appear old fashioned, curious or even superstitious to us.

Culture Night returns in Tipperary on Friday 19th September for an evening of FREE creative and cultural events for everyone.
